Roberto González, MD. Retina Specialist. He began his studies in the year of 1999 in the faculty of medicine at "Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo León" and finished in 2006. Dr. González spent his last year in med school in the "Ruprecht-Karls Universität" in Heidelberg, Germany where he attended 6 clinical rotations. In addition to this, he went on a clinical clerkship in the "Raphaelsklinik" in Münster, Germany.
Residency in Clinical and Surgical Ophthalmology was done in "Hospital Universitario at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León" which was finished in 2010
From 2010 a 2012, Dr. González Soto made a fellowship in Medical and Surgical as part of the double certification program from Universidad de Guadalajara and Doheny Eye Institute [University of Southern California (USC, Los Angeles, CA.)]. During his fellowship he took part as researcher in several projects including artificial sight, stem cell transplant for substituting retinal pigment epithel in dry macular degeneration, microelectromechanic delivery devices (Replenish Micropump, Replenish Inc.) and development of ophthalmic surgical tools.
